| Additional Information: | 2005- The building was originally built for Herman Shultz in 1902 to house his tavern and a bowling alley. In 1903, Shultz sold it to J.B. Esser, who first used it to house a general store and then leased it to the Alma Center Bank in 1905, which occupied it until 1973 as a branch of the Jackson County Bank. 2024 - Two story Commercial Vernacular building on a corner lot with a ‘flat’ roof and brick walls and parapets, stone and steel lintels, one-over-one windows, and a concrete foundation. |
