NOTES
Additional Information:Previously surveyed in 1986.

This was the location of the John Habhegger grocery store between c. 1872 and c. 1885. It was then a shoe store, a plumbing shop and a harnassmaker's shop.

This building has some historical interest as the location of several retail businesses, but none is individually historically significant. They do contribute to the overall development of commerce in the Main Street Commercial Historic District.

Built for C.W. Schulz probably in the 1860's and used as a grocery store in the 19th century, this small one-story frame building has been covered by horizontal modern siding. A wooden store front with recessed wooden entrance door and large single store windows characterizes the lower facade. A shed roofed wooden extension with enclosed porch is located at the rear.

The C.W. Schulz building has suffered extensive and unsympathetic alterations of its architectural character. Because of the extensive alteration of its historic character, this building does not contribute to the proposed Main Street Historic District.
