Additional Information: | DESCRIPTION: A large two story plus attic house on a broad rectangular plan that runs parallel to MacArthur Avenue that features a massive New England gambrel roof, stucco siding and an exposed red brick chimney on the southeast end, on either side of which in the attic are small quarter circle windows and rectangular windows on the second and third stories. The front facade is dominated by the broad roof that is pierced on the second floor by a long shed roof dormer whose rectangular windows are arranged strictly symmetrically with a single window in the center and two coupled windows at each end. Below, the first story has a central entry emphasized by the arched pediment projecting from the base of the roofline, which has broad eaves extending over the tall rectangular ground level windows. |
