Additional Information: | DESCRIPTION This house is a two and one-half story cross gable Quenn Anne house with a steeply-pitched intersecting gable roof covered with wood shingles, clapboard siding, and decorative wood shingles in he gable peaks. The large gables have returned eaves and a cornice and frieze run under the roof eaves. Windows are primarily single-pane double-hung sashes sashes. There are some large single and multiple pane windows as well. The main entrance has a wooden door decorated with sidelights. There is a bay window on the side of the house. Two proches decorated openings on the frong facade and have flat roofs, ionic columns and plain balustrades. On the proch roof is a balustrade. Also on the property is a gambrel roof shed and a garage. HISTORICAL BACKGROUND. This house was owned by Fred Wessel between 1915 and 1931. [a] |
