NOTES
Additional Information:DESCRIPTION
This small gable ell house has one and one-half stories with a low-pitched gable roof and clapboard siding. Windows are small single-pane or two-over-two light double-hung sashes.

ARCHITECTURAL/ENGINEERING SIGNIFICANCE
Because of its pre-Civil War construction date its overall massing, though, this house may have a log or half-timber structural system. Due to the abundance of log and half-timber buildings in Mequon, it is suggested that further investigation of this house's structrual system be undertaken.

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
This house was owned by Henry Hendel between 1862 and 1878 and by Robert, then Albert Voland between 1880 and 1931. [a,b]
