NOTES
Additional Information:A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation.

2007- "This small, one-story, Astylistic Utilitarian building appears was erected as a gas station for Carl Jahn c. 1930. The building is constructed of rock-faced, concrete blocks and rests on a concrete slab foundation. Asphalt shingles cover the broad, hip roof. The building conforms to the "house with bays" service station building type, as identified by Jakie and Sculle in their book, The Gas Station in America. The office occupies the north end of the building. It is entered through the canted northwest corner of the building. A pair of 1/1, sash windows flank the office door. Two garage bays are found at the south end. The northern garage bay retains its original, wooden, overhead door. Since 1993, the southern garage bay has been enclosed with vertical boards and fitted with a long, fixed window. The gas pumps were removed prior to 1993."
