Additional Information: | This 2-story Gabled Ell house was constructed in 1895. It is rectangular in plan with a stone foundation, painted brick walls, and an asphalt-shingled gable roof with a wide fascia board under the gable. The front elevation faces east and is asymmetrical in plan. The front-gabled building mass contains a segmentally-arched window opening at the first story (the original window has been replaced by a single-pane picture window with flanking 1-over-1 windows) and a smaller segmentally-arched window opening at the second story (containing a pair of 1-over-1 windows). A band of decorative brickwork spans the wall between the first and second stories. The façade of the side-gabled mass contains a single doorway and three 1-over-1 windows at the first story; all feature segmentally arched crowns. Above this is the ghost of a porch roof (the porch is no longer present) that would have provided access to a second-story door. A tangled set of wood stairs hangs from a portion of the side-gabled mass. |
