NOTES
Additional Information:2012- "The William Berndt farmstead consists of a farmhouse (75970), a machine shed (75969), another shed (75971), and a dairy barn (223045).

The farmhouse (AHI #75970) was constructed around 1890 for William Berndt. The house is a one and one-half story
Gabled Ell, with an enclosed porch and a stoop entry in the south elevation. The front-facing main block is clad in wide
aluminum siding, and the side ell and enclosed porch are clad in vinyl siding. The majority of windows appear to be threeover-
one double hungs; however, several windows in the main block are modern single-light casements. The two firststory
windows in the front elevation of the main block have decorative plastic shutters. All doors are modern steel or
fiberglass with aluminum storm doors. The roof is clad in three-tab asphalt shingles, most likely dating to the same
period as the three-over-one windows.

The property also contains four outbuildings (three historic buildings and one modern pole barn). A front-gabled machine
shed (AHI #75969) is constructed of square-hewn logs with wide chinking. The remains of vertical boards are visible in
one gable, and the roof is clad in asphalt shingles."
