West bay window; "Stick Style" ornament in gable ends; decorative shingles in west cross gable; exposed rafter ends; bargeboards; steep gable roofed enclosed entrance with Tudor arched door with projecting cornice.

This two-and-one-half-story house rests on a quarried stone foundation. A pedimented, open porch entry features stone-veneered porch supports. A secondary entrance is found at the rear. A two-story, gabled wing with canted corners projects from the east wall of the essentually front-gabled block and features a third entrance. A few of the openings still retain original panes of leaded glass, the majority of the windows now carry one-over-one-light sash windows. There is also a clapboard-sheathed garage on the property. Stone-veneered posts delineate a small parking area.

The residence was constructed by Calvin H.P. Wilcox, a farmer. In 1920, Dr. Peter and Mrs. Sophia Majerus purchased this house as well as the former Robert Trumbell Hunter Residence across the street. They converted the Trumbell residence into a hospital which they operated from 1921 to 1942. Following the sale of the hospital, Dr. Majerus continued to see patients in his home. Sophie still resided in the home in 1999, at the age of 102.
