NOTES
Additional Information:This building housed both a flour and feed/produce firm and later, a decorating store.

Between 1872 and 1900, this building was the location for the F. and J. Schoechert produce/flour and feed store. After being a grocery for a period of time, it housed the J.B. Murphy decorating store, probably a paint and wallpaper store until at least 1930.

This building has historical interest because it housed several retail firms between 1872 and at least 1930. While these firms do not have enough importance to make them historically significant, they contribute to the commercial significance of the Main Street Commercial Historic District.

Exhibiting a rather plain cream brick facade with multipaned rectangular windows on the upper story, the Adolph Hunt building historically known as the Schoeckert Produce Store, built in the late 1850s apparently originally had a wide cornice at the top of the facade. The store front featuring multipaned windows and a recessed entrance in the west bay was added and the brick work repaired on the second story in 1984. A two-story concrete block addition is located at the rear of the building. An open exterior stairway to the second floor is placed on the west elevation between this building and the adjacent building at 119 W. Main St.

The Schoeckert Produce Store is a commercial vernacular building exhibiting no particular historic ornament. Although this building is not architecturally significant, the Schoeckert building contributes to the historic architectural character of the proposed Main Street Historic District.
