Additional Information: | Shingled upper story; gabled rectangular bay over three sided bay window projecting onto porch; full length open porch with Tuscan columns and balustrade; rectangular southeast bay window; bargeboards; same as 812 Richards Ave. This house was built for Northwestern College employees. It was occupied by William Hinkel around 1919 and by Herb Parisius around 1924. Initial research indicates that none of the occupants of this house are historically significant either individually, or as a group within the proposed historic district. This building does not meet the criteria of the NRHP for architectural significance because of a lack of integrity. However, this building has sufficient architectural character to contribute to the proposed historic district. |
