DOT bridge 400767. 2000- two-span, concrete girder with decorative limestone ashlar veneer on its pier, abutments and parapets. Parapet has open design with rectangular cut-out sections and limestone slab coping. Decorative limestone brackets furtherenhance the bridge's appearance. In the mid-1970s damaged concrete girders were patched with epoxy. In 1998 the city tuckpointed the parapet walls and replaced damaged stone in-kind. The city plans to riprap the abutments and pier in 2000. The bridge retains excellent integrity of design and materials. |
