NOTES
Additional Information:It has been well maintained and is a good and extant example of this type of construction. Keel Road was State Highway 71 until 1993 or 1994 when the State moved and the straightened the road to its current location. The old road bed can still be seen as you travel east on Highway 71. Also, Kenton Ave, was used by the tunnel watchmen in the early days. Inspection records at the Chicago & North Western Railway Historical Society archives indicate it was built 1879. It is a 24' span.
