Additional Information: | See HAER form. M in the photo codes is short for MVIS. The adjacent four story building at the site was demolished in 1986. 2016 - Two-story brick building with stone accents. Trefoil carved blocks atop brick pilasters adorn the south facade, and the recessed Tudor arch entryway has stone quoins and archivolts, flanked by lantern sconces. A secondary entrance is located on teh west elevation. A stone water table wraps around the southwest corner and a large stone plaque above the main entrance reads "Milwaukee Casket Co." Replacement fixed sash are found throughout, and a loading dock extends on the west elevation. **2020 - Resurveyed for I-94 Project 1060-27-04 by HRL: No significant changes since 2016. Some work done to the front entrance. |
