Additional Information:A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. Flat roofed open front porch with paneled posts; raised arched wooden window heads topped by cut out design in a heart shape.

This was the long time home of Richard Jones, a wagon-maker, between around 1866 and at least 1893.

Richard Jones was one of the small wagon-makers in Watertown in the nineteenth century. He began his business in the 1840s and continued on until the turn of the century. For a time he worked with Frederick Misegades, who went on to become the most successful of the wagon-makers in Watertown.
