| Additional Information: | BRACKETS UNDER WIDE EAVES. MOVED FROM ORIGINAL SITE ON N. WATER ST. in 1974. Heritage Research, Ltd., 1999: "This structure is a former Milwaukee, Menomonee Falls & Western Railroad depot. Constructed in Menomonee Falls in 1890, the one-store facility retains a high degree of architectural integrity. The walls are constructed of clapboard, while shake shingles cover the roof. Knee braces support the deeply overhanging eaves. The fenestration is composed of historic-period, paneled wooden doors and multiple-light windows. A wooden boarding platform extends across the primary (north) elevation...in the mid-1970s, it was relocated from its original site to the Old Falls Village, a collection of historical buildings maintained by the Menomonee Falls Historical Society." |
