NOTES
Additional Information:STONE LINTELS AND SILLS. The Lannon Field Farm Summer Camp was established on property Thomas Camp owned between 1849 and c. 1870. O.V. Fragstein purchased the property in 1931. His son-in-law, Thomas Gran, gained control of the property by 1943. He ran a children's summer camp on the property from 1931-1972. The current name associated with the property, Lannon Field Farm, originated with the summe camp. Many of the structures in the Thomas Camp Farmstead were erected after 1930, when the Grans established their summer camp. At its peak in the 40s and 50s, the camp served approximately 100 children. Gran's daughter and son-in-law, Clarence Waller, are the present owners of the property and became with the summer camp in 1945. They were the directors between 1962-1972. Two large, gable-roofed cabins were erected in the 30s or 40s. Two additional, smaller cabins appeared during the 40s. The Gran's also erected a two story, gable roofed dormitory in 1938. The Lannon Field Summer Camp added the gable roofed horse barn with a central drive-through in 1953, two cabin/guest houses in 1956, and a swimming pool and pool house about 1961. Part of the farmstead now belongs to a wildlife refuge.
