NOTES
Additional Information:A Victorian frame (now asphalt sided) that has a flat sloping roof and a bracketed metal cornice. Originally a balconied portico extending over the sidewalk graced the building. Frank Thompson's Furniture Store and Funeral Parlor has had historical significance to the development of the commercial district. Frank Thompson was a cabinet maker. He established his business about 1866, building furniture and coffins. He gradually assumed the duties as Shullsburg's undertaker. His son Harry joined the business in the late 1800s. Harry took over complete management of the business in 1912. Harry continued the business jointly with John O'Toole as Thompson and O'Toole until 1955. It is now Reilly Plumbing Company.
