Additional Information: | Originally constructed as the carriage house for a projected mansion which was never built. The main features of this one and one-half story "English Cottage" are a tiled roof and an arched porte-cochere. The roof line is interrupted by large "dormer" with a porch, and an enclosed sunroom lies astride the porte-cochere. Arthur P. Warner invented a speedometer which made use of the magnetic principle in measuring the speed of an automobile. He invented eletric brakes and clutches. He was Wisconsin's first pilot, and elected to the Wisconsin Industrial Hall of Fame in 1962. |
