NOTES
Additional Information:PORCH ACROSS FRONT. John Fye, a blacksmith, erected this building in 1896. From 1897, to at least 1899, the Stark brothers, Henry and George, had a general store in the building. Their partnership had dissolved by 1901. In 1908, the Rudolph brothers leased the Fye Building. Dr. G.W. Perrin, a physician and surgeon, established an office here in 1913. Dr. C.A. Faber replaced Dr. G.W. Lyon in the building as an eye, ear, nose and throat specialist in 1919. Albert R. Baer purchased the building from Fye in 1920 and established the Black Hawk Hosiery Mill in the second story above the Rudolph Brothers General Store. Neither business remained in operation after 1924. The two bay east addition was constructed soon after the building was built. It was clad with brick sometime between 1910-1925.
