| Additional Information: | In response to St. Thomas Catholic Church's growing parish, St. Jude's was formed as the west side parish. The church building was built in 1909-1910 and dedicated in 1910. At the time it was built, there were only a few residences nearby and it was referred to as the "City limits" church. "Western Stick" detail on a Gothic church of wine-colored brick. Tudor arch detail dominates openings. Two towers frame church front, with the taller north bell tower. Both towers have a stepped battlement parapet detail. |
