Additional Information: | Octagonal entrance; diamond ventilator window. 2017 - This Queen Anne house is asymmetrical in plan with a hipped, asphalt-shingled roof with gables projecting from the north and east elevations, and is clad in wooden clapboard siding. The front elevation faces northeast and features a single-story octagonal entryway. The house features cutaway bay windows at the corners of the north-and east-facing gables, with the original carved corner brackets still present above. A triangular window is located in the peak of the north-facing gable; however, the addition of a chimney in the center of the eastern gable has obscured the triangular window originally present as well as the center windows of the first and second stories. Windows appear to be 1-over-1 double hung replacements. The windows on the octagonal entrance, which likely date to the enclosure of the porch prior to 1977, are 4-over-1 double hung windows. |
