Additional Information:Also on property: granary, summer kitchen, garage, barn, chicken house, outbuildings. When surveyed in 2021 the house was being restored and repainted. 2021: This is a very fine Greek Revival Style farmhouse that has a two-story-tall side gabled main block and a one-story gable-roofed rear wing, giving the house a T-plan. The house has a cut stone foundation that encloses a basement story, and its exterior walls are clad in wood clapboards that are sheltered by the wide eaves of the side gabled main roof. The main façade faces south onto WIS 213, and it is symmetrical in design, five-bays-wide, and has windows that are either original or restored six-over-six-light double hung. Signature features include returned eaves and corner pilasters. The house was built for Samuel Smiley in 1846 and it is listed in the NRHP. NR# 82001849.
