Additional Information: | WOOD SHINGLES IN GABLES MODERN DORMER ADDITIONS Previously surveyed in 1979. 2005- Constructed prior to 1890, the earliest known owner of the house was Hiram F. Lyke in 1890. He owned a furniture and funeral home business on E Wisconsin Avenue. Lyke remained at the home until at least 1910 when P.K. Finerty took possession. By 1920, the house transferred to Frank Rohloff, who continued ownership until 1935. By 1941, Mrs. Georgiana E. M. McCulloch had purchased the home and modified it to accommodate multiple apartments. The Town and Country has occupied the first level since at least 1972. |
