NOTES
Additional Information:This church rests on a stone foundation and features a square, tent-roofed tower which is decorated with brackets and is centrally placed on the facade. The main entrance is located at the base of the tower. Fenestration is trimmed with triangular lintels and the leaded glass in the four-paned windows is of a simple design. A side-gabled, frame addition to the rear and side of the church postdates 1930. Until at least 1930, the church has a 45-foot spire. 2013: CHURCH IS COVERED IN VINYL SIDING AND FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS, IT HAS BEEN SUBDIVIDED INTO RETAIL SHOPS. 2024: This Gothic Revival building was constructed in 1883 as the Milton Methodist Church. The building consists of the original rectangular mass and a smaller mass that was added to the southern half of the east elevation in the mid twentieth century. Both building masses are clad in vinyl siding and feature asphalt-shingled hipped roofs. The front elevation faces north and is dominated by a central square tower. Tall, narrow, rectangular stained-glass windows are located on each side of the tower and feature peaked crowns. A pair of tall, narrow, rectangular windows under a peaked crown is located in the upper level of the tower; above this, a pent roof runs the perimeter of the tower. The original belfry above this has been enclosed and is capped with a pyramidal roof with flared eaves. The front entrance was likely located in the base of the tower, but any original openings at this location have been covered in vinyl siding; the current entrance is located in the north face of the east addition and is comprised of a pair of double doors with a round-arched transom. This entrance is sheltered under a front-gabled entry porch.
