Additional Information:Founded by brothers John F and Joseph Herda in 1923, this building was for Herda’s Hardware Store and Farm Implement dealer in the community of St. Martins. Herda’s was one of two stores catering to the needs of 20th century farmers and farm families in the area. The family namesake became a TrueValue store in 1963 and ultimately closed in 2005. 2025: Twentieth Century Commercial. One-story, front gable metal roof, tiered false front brick parapet, stone accents, pilasters, composite siding, metal and glass picture windows and entrance doors, glass block window opening, and concrete foundation. Outbuilding: Circa 1940 shed roof garage, five stalls, metal siding.
