Additional Information:A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the State Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation. Five story red brick and concrete commercial style.

Oscar C. Hansen was, in 1881, Vice President of Hansen's Empire Fur Factory and, by 1905, President of his own firm, O.C. Hansen Manufacturing Co., one of Milwaukee's 7 makers of gloves and mittens. The company specialized in "Built Like a Hand" gloves for "motoring, driving, dress, work and general wear". Hansen occupied this building for 8 years, followed by Middleton Mfg. Co., makers & dealers of hats, caps, gloves and mittens. By 1931, the building was used for printing, clothing mfr., and vending machine production. From 1946 to 1973 it provided office space for the Veteran's Administration and the GSA, and served as an Army induction center. The building is currently occupied by an auction service, an antique dealer, a microfilming business and a lithographer.
