| Additional Information: | This house is a fine example of the Dutch Colonial Revival style. It has a sloping gambrel roof with a large shed-roofed dormer on the main elevation. The window openings are symmetrical and the main entrance is covered with a gable-roofed portico suppoed by thin, round, columns. A one and one-half story addition with a gambrel roof projects from one end wall and covers most of the massive brick fireplace. This house contributes to the architectural significance of the proposed Columbus Circle Historic District as a fine example of the Dutch Colonial Revival style. In 1930, the household included the Taylors and their 11-year old niece and 5- year old nephew. |
