| Additional Information: | THIS STONE FARMHOUSE IS BELIEVED TO HAVE ORIGINALLY HAD A SIMPLE SIDE GABLE ROOF AND A THREE-BAY-WIDE MAIN FACADE THAT FACED SOUTH ONTO THE HIGHWAY. SINCE THEN, HOWEVER, THE ORIGINAL ROOF HAS BEEN ALTERED AND IT NOW HAS JERKINHEAD GABLE ENDS. IN ADDITION, A LATER GABLE-ROOFED ENTRANCE PAVILION NOW SHELTERS THE ORIGINAL CENTERED ENTRANCE ON THE MAIN FACADE, AND A SECOND, LATER, HIP-ROOFED, ONE-STORY ADDITION HAS ALSO BEEN ADDED TO THE WEST SIDE OF THE HOUSE AND A MODERN CHIMNEY NOW BISECTS THIS ELEVATION AS WELL. Online research (MAP) in 2019 could not find this house, which was demolished between 2013 and 2017. |
