| Additional Information: | Reinforced concrete construction with steel beams to support the second floor ballroom. Petrie, president and manager of the Milwaukee Stamping Co. from 1916-1930, lived here from 1917-1929. Wilmer T. Orth, president of Wisconsin Ice and Coal from 1928-1948, lived here from 1932-1952. In 1952, the house was converted to a nursing home. Incorectly identified in 1980 as Prairie style. The house is a Craftsman bungalow. Previously surveyed in 1980 and no apparent changes have been made to it when re-reviewed in 2007. It served as Hillcrest Nursing Home for some time; it no longer serves as such. |
