| Additional Information: | 2015- This two-story, brick building features modest classical detailing including a stone cornice, fluted pilasters framing the primary (north) facade, and stone decorative accents. The primary elevation has a modern storefront and modern fenestration on the upper level, which rest upon a continuous limestone sill. Constructed circa 1904, the earliest known occupant of the building was Bernard McQuillen who operated the "Wisconsin Lunch Room." By 1921, the Dalin Jewelry Company and Dalin Music Company occupied the building. Dalin Jewelry Company remained at this location until at least 1950. -"IH-94/USH 41/WIS 341 Survey," WisDOT ID #1080-27-01, Prepared by Heritage Research, Ltd. (McQuillen) (2015). Construction date from Assessor's records. Previously surveyed in 1980 as Dalin's Jewelry Store. Resurveyed in 2007, new photograph submitted. Earliest known occupant of the building was Bernard McQuillen who operated the "Wisconsin Lunch Room." By 1921, the Dalin Jewelry Company and Dalin Music Company occupied the building. **2020 - Resurveyed for I-94 project 1060-27-04. No significant changes apparent. |
