NOTES
Additional Information:2022: This one-and-one-half-story log cabin was constructed c.1860. It is of log construction with vertical siding in the gable ends. It has a side-gable roof covered with wood shake singles. Windows include six-over-six, single-hung sash. The (south) facade contains a small shed-roof porch that shelters the main entrance and is supported by wood beams. Research revealed nothing about the original owner or early history of the log house. A Wisconsin Historical Society photograph and description calls the cabin the “Reklau Log House.” Mead & Hunt contacted the Theresa Historical Society, but it did not result in any findings. According to the Wisconsin Historical Society’s website, the cabin has been moved two miles from its original site to the Theresa Historical Grounds next to the Solomon Juneau Homestead (AHI No. 15314).
