It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. 1987- Designed by John J. Flad. Built in 1927. Imposing example of Gothic Revival style. Constructed of local sandstone. Main facade is dominated by a large square tower. Most of the windows are original stained and painted glass made by the German artist Kurt Drewes. The addition of windows of an abstract design as well as interior changes were carried out in 1968. St. Bernard's congregation was established in 1907. Madison Historic Landmark: 3/16/1981
