Shipwreck

George R. Roberts (1847)

Location: "Historic accounts put the wreck "at the head" of Big Sister Bay, which would place it on the shore at the City of Sister Bay. A mention of "rocks" may refer to ledges along the shoreline itself. Salkin speculates whether or not the "rocks" referred to the Sister Islands. That location would not, however, correspond to the "Head of the bay"."
Ship Master: William Lane At the time of loss: Captain Gray
Nearby City: Sister Bay, Door County
Body of water: Green Bay
