Executive Mansion

The governor's Executive Mansion was originally built in 1856, reflecting a combination of architectural styles. In 1971 the mansion and its grounds earned a place on the National Historic Register. Caption reads: "Albany, N.Y. Executive Mansion."

The Hermitage
The Hermitage was purchased by Andrew Jackson on July 5, 1804. The grounds included the mansion as well as a 1,000-acre plantation.
