Accessing Collections
The vast majority of the items in our collections are not online. The Society owns thousands of archival collections viewable in our Archives reading room. To view and conduct research in our collections, visit us in person.
Hut at Washington Springs
A set of stone stairs leads to a small soldiers' hut inhabited during the American Revolution. This view of the hut in a wooded area shows a door, a window, and a chimney.
Star Redoubt
A road curves to the right and in the background is the Star Redoubt, a military structure built by Continental soldiers during the winter encampment of 1777-1778. A telephone pole is on the right.

George Washington's Headquarters

Valley Forge
Washington's Headquarters was the hub of military activity during the six months the troops spent in Valley Forge.
The Espy House
The Espy House served as President Washington's Headquarters during the Whiskey Rebellion in 1794.
