McCord Rock, Devil's Rock, Donald's Rock, Preacher's Cap

Image

View of a farmstead with fences, haystacks and a wooden outbuilding. Two men are posing on top of McCord Rock, one of them saluting with his hat. Another man is standing on the bridge over a river in the foreground, and two other men are standing just uphill near a tree and fencing in the center. Also known as Devil's Rock and Donald's Rock and Dahl listed the view for sale in his 1876 descriptive list as "Preacher's Cap, Springdale, Wis." The rock rises above the valley of the Sugar River.
