Helen Farnsworth Mears Art Contest

The four finalists, one of whom will represent Madison in the district division of the Helen Farnsworth Mears Art Contest sponsored by the Wisconsin Federation of Women's Clubs. The competition is conducted among Wisconsin's 7th and 8th grade students. Helen Farnsworth Mears was an American sculptor born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Left to right are Julie Frye, representing West junior high school; Bruce Taylor, East Junior High School; Jeanne Pfister, Central Junior High School; and Janet Gill, Nakoma Junior High School. Janet's entry was selected by the Madison Woman's Club to represent Madison in the district division of the contest.
