Christmas 1929

Image

The three children of Herbert P. and Margaret Bouer Brumder, from left, Herbert E., Philip (partially obscured), and Barbara are playing with their Christmas presents in the living room of their home at 2030 East Lafayette Place. Barbara, sitting in an armchair, is holding a doll. On a table at left is a miniature military encampment with detailed metal cannons; a small world globe is resting on the floor. The electrically lighted Christmas tree is decorated with tinsel garland and glass ornaments. At far right, a photograph of Milwaukee publisher and businessman George Brumder is sitting on the grand piano. Herbert P. was the youngest child of George and Henriette Brandhorst Brumder.
