Wisconsin's First Aviation Fatality

Wisconsin's first air fatality was P.C. Davis, an exhibition pilot from Chicago, who died as a result of injuries sustained during an aerial performance in Mauston. Caption reads: "Wreck of Aeroplane at Juneau County Fairgrounds, Sept. 5, 1913. Mauston, Wis."
