On the left, men are working among sacks of lime, piles of sand and a mixer powered by a hit and miss engine. Stacks of what are probably cinder blocks are in the background. On the right, another man is pushing a wheelbarrow, most likely filled with mortar, along a board to waiting workers. Henry Bode's large brick building, Manitowoc Steam Cleaning and Dying Works, is to the rear of the site. The Glander Building was the home of the Glander Art Studio from 1914-1972.
