Tavern at Exeter

A wooden, two-story saltbox style building in an advanced state of neglect.
The Western Inn

Bake Oven

An outdoor brick bake oven with utensils alongside. According to the photographer, these were "often used by the early taverns."
The Red Tavern
1925
A deteriorating wooden structure with two gables on the front, identified as the Red Tavern between Kilbourn and Mauston, built in 1848.
Haney House
1925
Berry Haney house, located about a mile east of Cross Plains. The stone portion of the house was built in 1840.
Franklin Stove
October 18, 1925
One of two Franklin stoves used in Hawks Tavern, also known as Hawks Inn, built by Nelson P. Hawks in 1840.
