Toll House
1924
The old toll house. The house is surrounded by a sagging wire fence, and there are two pumps in the overgrown yard.
The Red Tavern
1925
A deteriorating wooden structure with two gables on the front, identified as the Red Tavern between Kilbourn and Mauston, built in 1848.
Johnstown Center Tavern
1925

The Western Inn
1925

Halfway House
1924
A copy of an old photograph of the W. McAuley Halfway House, an inn between Prairie du Chien and Viroqua. Mr. McAuley sits on a chair while a granddaughter, a daughter, and his wife stand.

Wilson's Tavern, north of the point where the road from Black Hawk enters Trunk Highway 60. Built by John Wilson on Wilson Creek.
