Film Still of Actress Josie Sedgwick from "The Boss of the Lazy 'Y'"

Image

Actress Josie Sedgwick plays Betty Clayton in this western. Betty is in charge of the Lazy Y ranch, and she is friendly with Calumet Marston, whose father Jim had put her in charge of the ranch while Clayton was absent. In the story Betty uses her rifle to wound Tom Taggart, a squatter, when he shoots Clayton in an ambush. In this image, Betty is standing in the woods near her horse, looking out warily with her rifle.
