Frank Lloyd Wright Doffs His Hat

Image

Frank Lloyd Wright in the Hearth Room of the First Unitarian Society Meeting House. Wright was there to give a speech to be aired later on the Omnibus television program. Prior to the speech Wright, the Taliesin Fellows who accompanied him, and members of the First Unitarian Society enjoyed a meal. Olgivanna Wright seated next to the architect had apparently reminded Wright that he should remove his hat. The man next to Wright is thought to be Gerald Bartel, a local broadcasting executive and a member of FUS. The fireplace, which was one of two in the meeting house, is an unusual feature of church architecture.
