Vowell Material Company Truck

The original caption reads: "One of three new LF-170 six-wheel International dump trucks recently purchased by the Vowell Material Company, El Paso, Texas, is shown at the company's crushing and mixing plant near the Mexican border. It is shown loaded with crushed stone. Material for the crushing plant comes from a nearby small mountain consisting of a conglomerate of small stones and gravel. The output from three crushes is from 250 to 300 yards a day. The company also operates a hot mix plant and utilizes a fleet of International Transit-Mix trucks for making deliveries in El Paso. Its motor truck fleet consists of 40 units. Besides the three new LF-170's, an LF-190 has recently been purchased. Karl W. Kautz is plant superintendent."
