Accessing Collections
The vast majority of the items in our collections are not online. The Society owns thousands of archival collections viewable in our Archives reading room. To view and conduct research in our collections, visit us in person.
Stommel Barn — Exterior

Ron and Marge Stommel live at W913 wy DD. This is the Robert Hartmann farm. Morgan is their grandchild. They have lived here for 25 years.
Bacon Barn — Exterior

Julie and her daughter, Jenny Bacon, live at N7673 Hwy 175 (Section 36). The Bacon family has lived here for 13 years.
Batterman Barn — Exterior

David and Kathy Batterman live at N9248 Sunnyview Rd (Section 7). Son, Scott, and his children, Ryan and Grace, pose with Dave and Kathy. Herb and Linda (Block) Zahn were former owners.
Grulke Barn — Exterior

Steve and Nancy Grulke and children, Alison, Cassandra, and Paul, live at W2346 Zion Church Rd (Section 30). Steve has lived here all his life. Steve and Nancy have been married for 16 years.
Andes Barn

Jeff and Janine Andes, who live at W1436 Hwy 28/67, with children, Megan, Samantha and Caleb. They have lived here since 1995.
Schnitzler Barn

The John and Jeanie Schnitzler family live at N7861 Doyle Rd (Section 26). Pictured are: Kelly Clark, Jason, Jeanie, John, and Amanda Schnitzler. They currently milk 70 cows.
