Image
Original caption from the Milwaukee Journal: "Manager Fred Haney, wearing an Indian headdress, reached out to shake the hand of a greeter at Gen. Mitchell field at the Braves' homecoming Sunday night. The war bonnet was placed on him soon after he left the plane." The rally was to welcome the Milwaukee Braves home from St. Louis, where the team had lost two of its final three games and the 1956 National League pennant.
