Engraving of a portrait of Solomon Adler, a clothing merchant and brother to David Adler. He assisted in conducting the first Jewish service in Wisconsin, was secretary of the first Jewish Cemetery Association, organizer and secretary of the city's first Jewish congregation and organizer and first president of the consolidated Congregation Emanu-El B'ne Jeshurun.
