Pencil sketch portrait of Edwin Austin Abbey, a muralist, illustrator, and painter. He began painting a series of murals for the Pennsylvania State Capitol in 1908, but his failing health forced him to take a supervisory role; the murals were completed by William Simmonds and John Singer Sargent.
